The Importance of Magnesium

How Important is Magnesium?

Magnesium is a huge part of the function of our bodies. Being deficient in this mineral can cause a multitude of issues. It plays a major role in energy production, nerve and muscle function, bone production, regulating blood pressure, and even maintaining a normal heartbeat.

Do you get enough? Great sources of magnesium include green leafy vegetables, whole grains, nuts & seeds, beans, dark chocolate, and fortified foods. Some people could be low and don't even realize. If you are low you may notice nausea, vomiting, decreased appetite, weakness, and muscle cramps. If you are eating a well balanced diet and still aren't absorbing enough it usually has to do with decreased absorption in the gut. This can be especially common in people with GI issues like Crohn's disease. That's where topical absorption comes in handy! Things like body scrubs, magnesium lotions, and salt scrub soaps are amazing sources of absorbable magnesium! When you use products like these your skin absorbs the magnesium present in the product, bypasses the digestive system, and your body is able to properly intake and use it. Not to mention, your skin will be glowing and feeling amazing after using these kinds of products!

We sell a number of different magnesium skincare products! Check them all out here.

"These aromatherapy inhalers are amazing! After just a minute or two my ailment is gone! I like to keep myself stocked up on some of the varieties to give away to friends and family who are having problems. I had a nephew over a few months ago who kept coughing non-stop. I gave him a breathe inhaler, and after just a few minutes he stopped coughing. He took it home with him and continued to use it. I love the power of natural products!"
